On Saturday October 13, the HDC’s Debt Collection vehicle with employees from the Recoveries Department and the Security Department in tow, rolled in to Oropune Gardens, Piarco to begin the distribution of letters to customers whose accounts are in arrears. It is expected that this approach will reduce the number of customers who claim ignorance or non-receipt of official correspondence from the HDC. Further, it is the Corporation’s expectation that the these residents will visit the Corporation as soon as possible to clear all outstanding debt, which will be used to fund new and upcoming housing projects.
