The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is in receipt of information related to an incident involving an eighteen-month old boy, living at Irving Lane Apartments, East Dry River, Port of Spain. According to the reports received, the toddler fell from the fire escape of his parent’s fourth floor apartment this morning. He was subsequently rushed to the nearest hospital by relatives. The HDC is awaiting a comprehensive status report on the child’s health.
Officers from the HDC’s Social and Community Services Department have been assigned to provide psycho-social support to the family. Health and Safety officers have also been directed to visit the area to conduct an assessment.
